Vereena is a vampire who could take the form of a bruxa, who loved her cursed lover Nivellen. But her nature maked their relationship harmful to him.
Nivellen initially believed Vereena is a rusalka, but later discovered her true nature.
Geralt discovered Vereena's true nature just before she attacked him. She almost kills him, but Nivellen impaled her with a pole, and Geralt then beheads her, which then breaks Nivellen's curse.
